Saint Sozon lived in the late 3rd century AD Homeland was Lycaonia and named as a national Tarasius. When baptized Christian named Sozon. Shepherd by profession, trying to mimic the tameness of sheep, he admired greatly. Several times bothered and unjustly wronged the other shepherds, but he was always gentle towards them. “It is a shame,” he said, “to become lower than the grazing sheep.” Diligently studying the Bible, and when the countryside encountered heathen, tried to indoctrinate him in Christ.
