Archangel Michael is one of the most revered and powerful figures in Christian, Jewish, and Islamic traditions. In Christianity, he is considered the leader of the heavenly army and a protector of God’s people. His name means “Who is like God?” in Hebrew, which reflects his role as a warrior and defender of God’s will.

In Christian theology, Michael is primarily depicted as a warrior archangel who battles against the forces of evil, specifically Satan and his followers. He is mentioned in several books of the Bible, notably in the Book of Daniel, the Epistle of Jude, and the Book of Revelation.

• Book of Daniel: Michael is called the protector of Israel, intervening in times of crisis (Daniel 10:13, 21).
• Epistle of Jude: He is depicted disputing with Satan over the body of Moses (Jude 1:9).

In Judaism, Michael is considered an archangel, often acting as an advocate and protector of Israel. In Islam, Michael (known as Mikail in Arabic) is one of the four archangels and is associated with providing nourishment and sustenance to God’s creatures. Michael’s role is considered more nurturing in contrast to the warrior role of Archangel Gabriel (Jibril).
