Description
Saint Plato lived in the late 3rd century AD. He was descended from Ankara in Galatia, Asia Minor, and was the brother of Antiochus’ martyr. At an early age the pagans arrested him because he proclaimed his faith in Jesus Christ and led him in front of the ruler Agrippino. Agrippinos, seeing the young man’s beauty and knowing that he owned property, tried to attract him with collages. But Saint Plato refused and continued to proclaim his faith in One and Only God. After the ruler saw that he could not change him by luring him, he threatened him with martyrdom. Nevertheless, Saint Plato remained firm in his faith. So Agrippina ordered him to torment him mercilessly and then to torment him with burned rods.
