Saint Theosevius

Description

The Saint Theosevios born in the small village Melandra, 12 kilometers southeast of the ancient Arsinoe, the current Town of Paphos Chrysochous parents pious and wealthy, Michael and Anna. He had no brother Blessed Arcadius the bishop later Arsinoe (see August 29). The exact date of his birth is unknown to us. It should be placed at the end of the 4th AD. century, if we accept, under the episcopal lists in the region, that his brother Arcadius was bishop of Arsinoe in the early 5th century AD
Although his brother went to Istanbul to study, he stayed close to his parents and became a shepherd.
